Engineer AbdullahAl-Abdulkareem has held several key leadership positions within the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (now the Saudi Water Authority)
His last role was as Deputy Governor of Planning and Development before being appointed as President of the Saudi Water Authority(SWA).
He also served as General Manager of Strategic Planning and Budgeting, leading multiple strategic committees and heading teams for planning and development programs.
He managed the Planning and Development sector at the Saline Water Conversion Corporation(SWCC), overseeing the development of advanced strategies and operational models within a comprehensive program aimed at achieving optimal efficiency, business development, and service quality.
Al-Abdulkareem has achieved significant successes in both public and private sectors, especially in the water industry, and has actively contributed to various local and international forums to advance the desalinated water sector.
He played a key role in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the efficiency of seawater desalination production and transmission operations through his leadership positions at the Saline Water Conversion Corporation.
He led the Corporation's team in the Privatization Program file, which culminated in the Cabinet's approval to establish the Water Transmission Company and endorse the production asset privatization model.
Moreover, he adopted numerous strategic management and development methodologies to boost effectiveness through sustainable economic governance.
Al-Abdulkarim holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from King Saud University in Riyadh.
